ZATCA B2B invoice clearance for WooCommerce
A WooCommerce sale to a business may need a standard tax invoice. ZATCA requires standard invoices to be cleared before the buyer receives them. Raseedo Pro adds this process to your checkout, using the buyer details collected with the order. You need both the free Raseedo plugin and an active Pro licence for B2B clearance.
Clearance and reporting follow different rules
A simplified tax invoice is used for consumer sales. It is issued and reported to ZATCA within 24 hours. That is the reporting process provided by the free plugin.
A standard tax invoice follows a different order. The XML is prepared and signed, then sent to ZATCA for clearance. The buyer receives the invoice only after clearance. Raseedo Pro handles the clearance request as part of issuing the standard invoice.
This difference matters when your store sells to both consumers and businesses. Raseedo uses the buyer information to decide whether an order can follow the standard invoice path. The B2C reporting page explains the simplified invoice path.
Business details at checkout
Pro adds fields for company buyers to both WooCommerce block checkout and classic checkout. Buyers can enter their company VAT number, legal name, building number and district. These fields provide the information used to prepare a standard invoice.
An order with a valid buyer VAT number can follow the B2B standard invoice process. Raseedo checks the buyer VAT number before using that path. The details entered at checkout therefore affect which invoice type is issued.
You should ask business buyers to enter their company details as part of the order. A buyer name alone is not the same as a valid VAT number. Your staff can refer to the order information when checking why a particular invoice followed the consumer path.
When business details are incomplete
If the required business details are incomplete, the order receives a simplified invoice instead. Raseedo adds an order note so your staff can see that it did not issue a standard invoice.
That note matters for teams that review B2B orders after checkout. It records the fallback on the order instead of leaving staff to infer the invoice type from the customer's name. The simplified invoice is signed and reported using the free plugin's B2C process.
A simplified invoice does not become a cleared standard invoice by changing what the customer calls the order. Collecting the required buyer information at checkout is the part to address before a standard invoice can be issued.
What happens before the buyer receives the invoice
For an order on the B2B path, Raseedo prepares a standard invoice in UBL 2.1 XML and signs it using your store certificate. Pro sends it to ZATCA for clearance immediately. The buyer receives the standard invoice after clearance, as required for this invoice type.
Your store keeps the signed document and ZATCA's response. This gives staff records to review without relying on the buyer's email. The E-invoices area is available under WooCommerce > ZATCA E-Invoicing.
Refunds and Pro access
When a B2B order has a standard invoice, a refund produces a standard credit note. That credit note is cleared by ZATCA rather than reported as a simplified credit note. The reference to the original invoice and the refund reason stay with the credit note.
Pro costs $29 per month or $249 per year for one store. Without an active licence, Pro features pause and the free plugin continues issuing simplified invoices. See Pro pricing for the plans and the difference between Free and Pro.
